This is one of mine and my dad’s favourite pubs. We just wish we could visit more regularly, but there is about 280 miles that separates us from the Red Lion! Rene, Harry, Kate and the whole team are absolutely brilliant and always make us feel so welcome. The food is consistently excellent, the atmosphere is spot on, and the Neck Oil on tap is always a highlight. What we really love is that it’s a proper, unpretentious pub - no airs or graces, just great food, great people and a genuinely relaxed feel. Thank you so much for making our last visit so special. Absolute GEM of a pub. I wish I lived nearer. Came from London for a break and found this pub next yo our hotel. Will cone again tomorrow for lunch. Great value for the 2 or 3 courses and great portion & delicious. Cute dogs too.

Brilliant! As we were just passing through. The service was very quick and very efficient, the quality of the food was very yummy and for the price to the size of portions was very good value for money. Overall a very professional, pleasant experience, I really enjoyed. I would happily go back there for another meal out.
